Help an Iraqi mom with two boys who needs our help right now!
Please join us to learn about the volunteer programs to support refugees in Los Angles County, presented by Shukry Cattan of the Tiyya Foundation. Tiyya is a partner of Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills. Its Los Angeles programs will emphasize mentorship, along with assistance of many kinds--working with refugee children or families, helping with specific tasks around town, being a mentor on school and other issues, listening, sharing what you know, problem-solving, taking children to the park or Disneyland, putting together furniture or bicycles, and so on.
Even if you are just curious, please come learn about how you can help. You have amazing skills and the life knowledge that will make a difference in the life of a refugee family.
This meeting is open to all ChaiVillageLA members, as well other interested adults.
