Film Discussion: Two Film Noir Movies

ChaiVillageLA member Jeffrey Ellis will facilitate a discussion of two Film Noir movies
and the interplay between the story and the setting


We will be discussing  In a Lonely Place (1957) starring Humphrey Bogart and Gloria Grahame and LA Confidential (1999) featuring Kevin Spacey and Kim Basinger. We will explore how the the architecture and history of Los Angeles are essential  to the understanding and appreciation of the Noir genre. 

Both movies can be streamed on Amazon Prime and other streaming platforms.
