Her Lifetime of Positive, Productive Leadership

The Honorable Lili Bosse will be in conversation with Rabbi Jonathan Aaron, discussing her life as a child of Holocaust survivor parents. We'll hear how her family experiences contributed to her having vast, active leadership and philanthropic experience locally, as well as her supporting Jewish causes in the United States and Israel.

About Lili Bosse:
Lili Bosse is an American politician and philanthropist. She served twice as Mayor of Beverly Hills in its centennial year, from March 2014 to March 2015, and from March 2017 to March 2018. She served as President of the Beverly Hills Education Foundation, was on the Board of Trustees of Wilshire Blvd Temple, served on the Leadership Program of Wexner Foundation and Chair of the Jewish Federation's Women's Venture Fund and Lion of Judah Division. She serves on the Board of Visionary Women, a non-profit organization which promotes women leadership positions.
 
In 2013, with her husband Jon, she donated $100,000 to the Moriah Films Division of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in honor of her mother's 90th birthday.

About Rabbi Jonathan Aaron:

Rabbi Jonathan Aaron is the Senior Rabbi of Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills (TEBH). He is a Jewish educator and performing artist with a passion for Jewish music, culture and text. He was ordained at Hebrew Union College (HUC) in 1996.  Following ordination he came to TEBH and has served over the years in many roles including Director of Education, Head of TEBH Day School and Associate Rabbi. In 2016 he became the Senior Rabbi. This year is his 25th year at TEBH.

Rabbi Aaron writes much of the liturgical music used in the Temple services. He writes contemporary prayer experiences including services of Healing, Selichot and Shabbat. He is a master storyteller, bringing biblical stories to life as he delights children and adults alike.

Rabbi Aaron serves the broader community as Chaplain for the Beverly Hills Police Department and  is a member of the The Maple Counseling Center Board of Directors.
