Film Discussion: Movies Dealing with Race Relations

We will be discussing two movies that are relevant to our times:

Selma (2014) is a historical drama starring David Oyelowo as Martin Luther King, Jr. and Tom Wilkinson as President Lyndon Johnson.

13th ( 2016) is a documentary  that explores the intersection of race, justice, and mass incarceration in the United States.

Both movies were directed by Ava Duvernay.  They can be streamed on Amazon Prime and Netflix.
