"Israel Then and Now" with Global Policy Expert - Virtual
About this event
Please join us for a weekly non-partisan, in-depth look at key events from Israel's past and present, taught by Steve Zipperstein. We will cover topics from the past, such as the early legal battles between Arabs and Jews during the 1920s and 1930s, the infamous British White Paper of 1939, and the circumstances leading to the creation of the State of Israel in May 1948. We will also explore topics from the present era, such as the most recent Israeli elections, the Trump Peace Plan, and the more recent legal battles between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
