A Conversation About Gov. Newsom's Historic California Master Plan for Aging
About this event
ChaiVillageLA and Temple Members Asked to Provide Input to the First-ever California Master Plan on Aging!
In anticipation of the enormous increase in California residents age 65 and over, Governor Gavin Newsom has called for the creation of a California Master Plan for Aging -- a blueprint to be used by local and state government, local communities and private organizations. This provides a historic opportunity to design a system that meets the needs of older Californian of today and tomorrow.
This is a great opportunity for Village and Temple members to discuss ideas, thoughts, and concerns about the aging.
The session will be conducted by Dr. Donna Benton, a member of the Governor’s Master Plan for Aging Stakeholder Advisory Committee. A research professor at the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, Dr. Benton is also the director of the USC Family Caregiver Support Center/Los Angeles Caregiver Resource Center and a senate appointee to the California Task Force on Family Caregiving.

Dr. Donna Benton
Dr. Benton will be asking the following questions:
1. What would you like to see done differently when you reach out of help?
2. What is the most important challenge that aging women/men face?
3. What needs to change for older adults in the next 10 years?
Don't miss this great opportunity for your voices to be heard!
ChaiVillageLA members and members of Temple Isaiah and Temple Emanuel are invited. Register online or contact the office at 310.871.2721 or Admin@ChaiVillageLA.org.
