A Taste of Mussar - Class #3 - FULL
A Taste of Mussar - Class #3
Mussar is a Jewish path of character development and spiritual growth. Based on Jewish teachings, both ancient and contemporary, it involves both study and practice for a more balanced life and to become the best version of yourself.
Mussar guides us to look at our lives in terms of the inner world of the soul. How can we balance soul traits such as humility, anger, gratitude and patience to have the proper measure of each in challenging situations, to become as spiritually and personally refined as possible?
The class materials from The Mussar Institute allow us to explore teachings from our tradition with each other and to enrich our experiences and help us deal with our own life’s challenges. The ultimate goal of Mussar is to help each of us become a more whole, deeply good and decent human being.
Our “A Taste of Mussar” group will meet on four Tuesday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the home of one of our members. It is being facilitated by Bonnie Pastor, an experienced Mussar facilitator certified by The Mussar Institute. The cost of materials for the course is $44 made payable to The Mussar Institute by check at the first group session.
Register on the ChaiVillageLA website and you will be contacted with the name and address of our host. This group is limited to 10 people. Please contact Bonnie Pastor at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
