Chinatown, ( 1974), directed by Roman Polanski,  is a "neo noir" mystery film set in the 1930's and inspired by the "California Water Wars", It stars Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway, and John Huston.  It is  frequently described as one of  the greatest movies of all time.

Once upon A Time in Hollywood ( 2019) directed and written by Quentin Tarantino, follows an actor and his stunt double in 1967 Hollywood as they navigate the changing movie industry. The movie is an attempt to pay tribute to Hollywood's Golden Age.

Both movies  are  available to stream.
