From Baghdad to Brooklyn

Michelle Azar

Take a journey with powerhouse actress and singer Michelle Azar as she winds her way from Baghdad to Brooklyn and beyond.  Told with story and song, this one-woman show traces Azar's Jewish and Iraqi roots in a timely story of family love and dysfunction set against a historical and redemptive background.

“A beautifully calibrated performance … an engaging and enjoyable evening of storytelling and song.”—Jewish Daily
