DR STRANGELOVE 


WAR GAMES 
 
This month we will focus on two movies that deal with the threat of nuclear war. 

DR STRANGELOVE (1964) is directed by Stanley Kubrick and stars Peter Sellars and George C Scott. It is a farcical comedy that shows how an insane general could mistakenly trigger a nuclear war. 

WAR GAMES  ( 1983) stars Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy and deals with how a young boy unwittingly hacks into a military computer system and almost triggers World War III

Both movies can be rented from Netflix DVD and streamed on all major streaming outlets. Also check Kanopy and local libraries.
