Bruce Phillips: Latest Pew Research on Jews in the US
About this event
In thirty years from now, we will be celebrating four centuries since the arrival of the first Jews to settle in colonial America. Please join our very own Bruce Phillips as he asks the question, "Thirty years from the Quadri-Centennial of Jews in America -- what we will we look like then?" Bruce was a consultant for both the 2013 and 2020 Pew surveys on Jews in America and in this talk he will discuss the growing diversity of the Jewish population and examine what this means for the Reform movement and the synagogue world.
About Bruce Phillips:
Bruce Phillips is Professor of Sociology and Jewish Communal Services at HUC-JIR in Los Angeles. He is a leading researcher in the area of the Sociology of American Jewry.
