Phone Banking With Friends
About this event
Hello civic-minded Villagers, Isaiah Women, all Emanuel and Isaiah groups and friends! Join us as we come together each Tuesday through Election Day to help get out the vote.
We will make calls together as our own Reclaim Our Vote (ROV) phone bank team. Just like the national ROV team, we will contact voters of color in Arizona, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas and provide crucial election information.
We will also spend the first few minutes of each session with an update on the campaign to plan our calls accordingly.
Most voters are grateful to learn about their state's absentee ballot requirements, or find an early voting center near home. Some don't normally vote so our reaching out helps motivate them to do so. Friendly conversations can make a difference.
Our Tuesday get-togethers are not training sessions. They are intended for those who have already made calls on behalf of ROV or have watched the 16-minute training video and are comfortable jumping right in.
