Transforming Regret into Wisdom and Meaning

Rabbi Klein Miles
Rabbi Zoë Klein Miles

Rabbi Zoë Klein Miles will be speaking on Zoom at Valley Outreach Synagogue & Center for Jewish Life, and all are invited! Explore the meaning of the High Holy Days in this special discussion.

Author Terry Pratchett once wrote, “Wisdom comes from experience. Experience is often a result of lack of wisdom.” This Season of Awe we reflect on our life’s journey, especially where we went astray. We contemplate mistakes we’ve made and hurts we’ve caused by our actions and inaction. Judaism offers a wealth of tools for transforming regret into insight and hope. We will explore the ancient alchemy of changing the heavy stones of self-shame into gold and light.
