Joyce Dallal is a first generation Jewish Iraqi-American artist who resides in Culver City. She says that the human ramifications of cultural identity and political and cultural events are the inspiration for her work. She employs a variety of media in her work, from small prints and collages to large installations and public commissions with a participatory component. Her primary interest is in examining the ways identities mix, evolve, and are shaped by contemporary culture.
