7,239 MILES - IRAN TO AMERICA: THE LIFE OF AMERICAN PERSIAN JEWS

"Discussion without Dessert" will feature speaker Michael Farahnik. He will share his family's experience as assimilated American Persian Jews. He will discuss Jewish life in Iran and why his family left and came to America, differences in raising children, and the many challenges he has faced in the USA. He will talk about the cultural differences between the two countries, raising three children, and how he became a very successful real estate businessman and leader in our Jewish community. Come and learn about Jewish life in Iran before the revolution and life of American Persian Jews.  
About Michael Farahnik:
Michael is the Immediate Past President of the UCLA Hillel Board of Directors, a member of the Bel Air Crest Board of Directors, and Past President of the California Apartment Association. He is principal at Star Point Properties, a successful real estate company in Beverly Hills. Michael and his wife Rachel are parents of two daughters and one son: Daniella, age 24, Alexandra, age 22, and Jordan, age 20.
