Virtual Islamic Art Museum Tour - Part I

ChaiVillageLA is pleased to be one of the few American Jewish organizations viewing this amazing institution virtually. Operating in Jerusalem since 1974, the Museum for Islamic Art is devoted to the collection, preservation, and exhibition of art objects and archaeological artifacts of Islamic art spanning the 7th to 19th centuries.

Join in this fascinating tour of the museum's galleries that emphasizes the mutual influences of Islamic art on Judaism  and vice versa, as well as the artistic similarities and differences between the two faiths. See some of the museum's most spectacular and precious objects. Learn the story behind each object--where did it come from and what influence did it have on art in the place and time in which it was created?

There is no cost and we welcome as many people as possible.

Register for Part I by clicking the Register Now button on this page.

Click here to register for Part II on September 7.
