Please join us for a Q&A with Helen Obih, RN, MPA, an emergency preparedness nurse, and Erika Goff, RN, MSN, MPH, a community liaison public health nurse. Both are with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
Ms. Obih and Ms. Goff will address how the Coronavirus is spread, populations most at risk, symptoms, treatment, and tips on prevention. All members of the JewItAtHome.com collaborating congregations are welcome to participate.
Ms. Obih has been a nurse for 26 years, much of that time at County-USC Hospital in neurology and labor and delivery. For the last 8 years she has specialized in emergency preparedness and disease prevention at the Department of Public Health. She also works part-time at Centinela Hospital as a critical care nurse
. As Ms. Obih says in the tagline of her emails,
"The only thing tougher than planning for a disaster is explaining why you did not."
Ms. Goff has more than 20 years of experience in community/public health nursing, including a background in medical-surgical and intensive-care nursing. She has worked at several Southern California hospitals and is a part-time nursing lecturer and clinical instructor.
