Wisdom Circle - LA Sanitation & Environment
We are delighted to have Daniel Tamm, Program Marketing Specialist at the LA Department of Sanitation & Environment at this month's Wisdom Circle. As the City's largest environmental protection agency, LA Sanitation & Environment is committed to protecting public health and the environment of Los Angeles. Daniel Tamm's presentation will demonstrate how LASAN's services, programs, and initiatives all contribute to our drive toward environmental sustainability. Mr. Tamm will also share his experience of how faith informs his work as a public servant, and in the world.
About Daniel Tamm:
Daniel Tamm is a public servant, who worked with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, to empower neighborhoods with greater access to city government, raise the minimum wage, and organize community education and support to build bridge and supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness. He’s now engaging communities in the sustainability practices and services of LA Sanitation & Environment, with the mission to protect public health and the environment of Los Angeles.
Mr. Tamm recently graduated from the Episcopal Theology School at Claremont with a Certificate in Diaconal Studies. He has begun a second unit of Clinical Pastoral Education with the Academy of Jewish Religion of California and is serving as chaplain intern at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. Daniel also chairs the Climate Action/Environmental Justice Committee of the Interfaith Solidarity Network.
Daniel lives in Sherman Oaks with his wife, and their two good dogs, while their son attends college in the Pacific Northwest.
